If every other radiator heats normally, the problem is likely to be local to that radiator or its branch rather than a complete boiler fault. Check that both radiator valves are open and, if a thermostatic radiator valve is fitted, make sure it has not simply been turned down.
Air, a stuck valve, poor balancing or restricted flow can all affect an individual radiator. If the radiator stays cold after the basic user checks, it may need the valves and circulation examined.
Do not assume the boiler needs replacing because one emitter is not heating. Doherty's Glasgow heating work includes radiator and control considerations alongside boiler repairs and installations, so the fault can be isolated before unnecessary parts are changed.
