If hot water still works but the radiators do not, the boiler is clearly capable of firing for at least one demand, so the fault may be on the heating-control or circulation side rather than a total boiler failure. Possible causes include thermostat or programmer settings, zone valves, circulation problems, a pump issue or a boiler component that is not responding correctly to heating demand.
Check that the programmer is set to heating, the room thermostat is above room temperature and radiator valves are open. Do not remove boiler covers or alter gas components.
If the controls appear correct but the radiators remain cold, the next step is diagnosis of the heating circuit. Doherty's Glasgow boiler and heating service can test the controls, boiler response and circulation rather than replacing parts by guesswork.
